Little Foot is the third specimen presented by the Origins Centre and GENUS for Wits University’s 100th anniversary. It will be presented at Origins Centre with the original skeleton on display for viewing on Saturday 23 April 2022 from 11:00 to 16:00.

Little Foot, also known as StW573, is a nearly complete Australopithecus fossil skeleton. The fossil was found in the Sterkfontein Caves, and it dates back to 3.67 million years ago. Having a skeleton that is 93% complete, this individual is by far the most complete of its kind to date.
